Breeding

Broodmare Allure with her daughter Renne Russo

My mother has always had a strong interest in breeding and bought her first foundation mare,  Adrianne, in Germany 8 years ago.

Adrianne (Andiamo x Grande) is a state premium mare registered with both Hannoverian and Oldenburg verbands.  She has proved to be a very successful brood mare with her first foal produced over here reaching the Winter Nationals on 3 separate occasions with her amateur owner/rider.  All of her progeny are proving to be very ridable with great trainability.

Adrianne last year produced us a beautiful filly by Danone I and after having the year off is now back in foal to Damon Hill which we are incredibly excited about.

Our second foundation mare, Allure (Argentinus x Levantos I) was bought in Germany as a foal and has since being imported produced 2 foals. One of these foals is my current competition mare Renee Russo, who is proving to be an extremely versatile riding horse, as is her other foal. Sadly she did not take in foal last year but I am happy to report that this year she is foal to the fabulous young stallion Flashpoint (Ampere x Dornenkonig).

Our third foundation mare, currently located in Germany, is Halloween (De Niro x Harlequin) who last year produced a  strong colt foal named Suarez, she is now back in foal to Furst Romancier.

Our final mare is Daquiri who used to be one of my riding horse but due to lack of time we decided to have another foal from her and what a foal she produced!! An exquisite bay filly by a young Dutch stallion Don Tango. She has recently been assessed by the Oldenburg Verband gaining a Premium status and showing all the qualities that you would look for in a dressage prospect. Daxs is now back in foal also to Flashpoint.

So next spring looks to be a busy breeding year for us! Now we keep all our fingers crossed for smooth pregnancies and that this time next year we will have 4 healthy happy foals on the ground, very exciting times ahead!

Our breeding program has grown from an amateur hobby into a business plan with the intent of producing 2-3 horses with good trainability and ride ability that can be sold on an annual basis.
